About the Artist

Art that is fun, fresh and whimsical… with an edge.

Isadora Hale is a Tucson, Arizona-based artist working primarily in acrylics on canvas. She grew up in Northern California and went on to study Creative Writing and Art Studio at the University of California, Davis. While at Davis she also attended the Summer Institute of Fine Art, where her desire to pursue a life in art was solidified.

Isadora’s career directly after college involved the digital arts via graphic design and website development. That influence is evident in her paintings today, with a crisp aesthetic and a love of color play and layout choices within the artwork that lead the eye to travel through her paintings in intentional ways. She creates art to process life, with paintings that frequently employ lightness and fun to promote empathy in a world which often strives to divide.

In addition to exhibitions throughout Arizona and beyond, Isadora has also recieved a variety of recognition for her work. In 2023 she received the Arizona Commission on the Arts Research & Development Grant, with which she created a collection for her solo show titled “My Southwest View”. She also received the Carmody Foundation Art for Good Grant in 2024, was short listed for the 2025 Nice Art Grant, was a Spotlight Artist at Artlink’s 2025 Art d-Core Gala, received the 2025 Arts Foundation of Tucson and Southern Arizona stART Grant and was named the Tucson Fourth Avenue Coalition’s Emerging Artist in 2025.
